“Great service for the community needing this service. The gift card is great because chemo patients sometimes lose their eye brows and can give patients gift certificates to get new ones.” – Survivor with Breast Cancer for 11 years
For the last 9 years, Perry County Memorial Hospital has been fortunate to be a part of the Perry County Chamber of Commerce Ladies Night Out event. Not only does this event support our local specialty shops, boutiques, antique stores, service providers, and restaurants but its purpose is to help raise funds for women in our community that are undergoing treatment in the PCMH oncology department. All funds raised go toward scarfs, hats and toiletries, items that are not covered under healthcare, for woman of the community undergoing cancer treatment.
Throughout the years, we’ve gained tremendous support, with many testimonials from volunteers and patients. We at PCMH are so grateful to be a part of this amazing event and we hope everyone gets out this Friday October 7th and Saturday October 8th to help support this wonderful cause from open to close. “Funds raised during this event will help purchase wigs, scarves, turbines, wig liners, lotions for dry skin, lymphodema sleeves, and gift certificates to an esthetician for eyebrows. These services are not limited just to breast cancer patients, but to all cancer patients. Services are offered close to home at our new, state-of-the-art facility which in turn prevent patients from having to travel longer distances.” – PCMH staff member
